    Responsibilities

    The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System is currently recruiting for a Full-time, Permanent, Administrative Officer.  This position will be located in the Environmental Management Service.  As a Administrative Officer, you are responsible for the following duties to include, but not limited to:

    • The Administrative Officer (AO) for the Environmental Management Service (EMS) at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System is a key staff member assigned to the Office of the Chief, EMS.
    • Reports directly to the Chief, EMS.
    • The AO is a non-supervisory position but works directly and collaboratively with all supervisors and managers within EMS as well as key staff members assigned to other service lines.
    • Primary purpose is to coordinate and monitor all EMS programs to ensure high quality work is performed and to meet all deadlines, goals and other service expectations.
    • Works in a diverse service that provides a greater scope of services (both in-house and through contracts) than most EMS services throughout the agency.
    • The main programs under EMS include: Interior Design, Labor, Painting, Pest Management, Sanitation, Textile Care, Waste Management and Medical Waste Processing.

    Work Schedule: The tour of duty for this position is typically Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Additional information may be provided during the interview process.
