    The position of Vetpro Dependent Coordinator is located in the Human Resources Service. The incumbent is delegated full authority and responsibility for the Credentialing of dependent providers at VA Medical Center Cincinnati. The coordinator provides administrative support to the Chief, HRMS planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of the Vetpro Dependent Provider Program and the VA Medical Center, Cincinnati, OH. All major duties of the incumbent are performed independently with the minimal guidance by the Supervisory HR Specialist who serves as the immediate supervisor. The incumbent performs the following duties:

    • Ensures that all appointment and reappointment applications for all dependent providers are appropriately developed and meet compliance requirements with all VA regulations and JCAHO (Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organization) standards regarding credentialing.
    • Serves as the Medical Center resource for Vetpro Dependent Provider Credentialing and is responsible for the education and guidance of staff who participate in this activity.
    • Corrects deficiencies and ensures that the credentialing program is in full compliance with JCAHO and VA standards.
    • Responsible for coordinating the work, observing work flow and making appropriate distribution of assignments. HR assistants who are assigned VetPro credentialing and staffing assistant duties.
    • Responsible for ensuring the passing of all mock surveys pertaining to credentialing of dependent providers at the Cincinnati VAMC.
    • Maintains liaison with the professional licensing boards of all 50 States, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia in verifying current, full, and unrestricted licensure for all licenses held by medical staff applicants and existing members of the medical staff.
    • Prepares recurring and non-recurring reports and related correspondence pertaining to dependent provider credentialing activities.
    Work schedule: Day Shift; Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
