    The Augusta Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center is a two-division Medical Center that provides tertiary care in medicine, surgery, neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine, and spinal cord injury. The Medical Center is affiliated with the Georgia Regents University, Augusta, GA and as such integrates teaching, research, and advanced patient care, making it an attractive academic medical center.     -Assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of disorders affecting the arterial and venous vascular system. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, carotid and Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound.·

    -Provide patient care and safety throughout exams.

    -Advise radiologists or referring physicians of significant abnormalities that would require immediate attention and visualization while the patient is undergoing examination.

    -Perform examinations of the abdomen, head, neck, chest and extremities, and retroperitoneal space for the purpose of acquiring high quality examinations that assists in the diagnosis and treatment of patient medical disorders.

    -Operate complex ultrasound and Transcranial Doppler equipment, Doppler systems, Parks Flo Lab (or similar), printers/recorders, and other patient assessment equipment.

    Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday (multiple shifts); 7:00-3:30; 7:30-4:00, 8:00-4:30; May work "on call" as required by service.
