    This is a Direct Hire Open Continuous Announcement (OCA) for Medical Officers (All Specialties) for consideration in the various specialty departments at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ and will report to the Department Supervisor onsite. The Physicians has various specialties as indicated in this announcement to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, when giving direct patient care within specialty considered.

    TITLE 38 MARKET PAY: $140,000 - $325,000 per annum. Specific salary information for following medical specialties:

    • Internal Medicine, Primary Care, Pediatrics, Family Practice, Infectious Disease Physician up to $215,000 per annum
    • OB/GYN, Psychiatry up to $240,000 per annum.
    • Ophthalmology up to $300,000 per annum.
    • General Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesiology up to $325,000 per annum
    Qualified candidates with a complete application will be considered for current or future vacancies as they occur. Veterans' preference and traditional rating and ranking of applications do not apply to this vacancy announcement.     Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the practice of medicine or direct service to patients involving the performance of diagnostic, preventative, or therapeutic services to patients in hospitals and clinics.
    • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat, prevent illness, disease, or injury.
    • Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patient's condition.
    • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examinations results. Experience with electronic health records is preferred.
    • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
    • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
    • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
    • Coordinate work with nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other allied health professionals in the provision of a variety of health services.
