    The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System (VASLCHCS) is made up of compassionate employees committed to caring for Veterans whose sacrifices know no limit. Wahlen Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and nine community clinics across Utah, Idaho, and Nevada.     Responsibilities

    The incumbent is an employee of the Patient Benefits Section, which is under Health Administration Services, in a complex and diversified teaching hospital with outlying community clinics situated in Salt Lake City, Utah. Incumbent independently handles Emergency Consents, Dispositions of Body, Funds and Effects, Commitments, Contract Burials, and Indigent Program Budget. The incumbent will also assist the Patient Benefits Section management in the completion of various reports, suspense action items, and miscellaneous projects as assigned. Incumbent performs all administrative tasks pertaining to, but not limited to, Disposition of Body (Deaths); Indigent Program and Budget; and speaking and/or corresponding with family/friends/stakeholders which can include funeral homes and state entities. The incumbent will also assist the Patient Benefits Section management in the completion of various reports, suspense action items, and miscellaneous projects as assigned.
