    Responsibilities

    The inpatient Pharmacist will organize daily workload to assure optimum, accurate and efficient completion of all medication orders, inpatient, discharge, and outpatient in assigned areas. The incumbent will provide pertinent information concerning the appropriate use of drugs to physicians, nurses, and other associated health care professionals and providers of this Medical Center. He/she will also serve as a liaison between the inpatient areas, primary care clinics, or other patient care areas and the centralized pharmacy distribution area, identifying and correcting problems and improving communication. Each pharmacist will be assigned to provide pharmaceutical needs to medicine, surgery, psychiatry, neurology, spinal cord injury, opioid replacement and/or geriatric patients. The Inpatient Pharmacist must possess in depth knowledge of one or more of these specialized areas to effectively carry out the daily responsibilities. He/she will monitor and assess drug therapy outcomes including interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic data, and provide appropriate drug therapy recommendations.


    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
