    Responsibilities

    The Associate Chief of Staff, Mental Health Service, is responsible for oversight and performance of all Mental Health Service operations at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, which includes a medical center, domiciliary, and 6 outpatient clinics over a 3 state area. The qualified candidate is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and experience in management is strongly preferred. The position provides administrative, clinical and programmatic leadership to the service to ensure achieved performance measures. Responsibilities include planning, developing, and directing all administrative and clinical functions of the Mental Health Service. This includes oversight of the inpatient acute care psychiatry services, mental health intensive case management program, substance abuse program, post-traumatic stress disorder program, general mental health outpatient program, primary care integrated health program, neurological psychobiological testing, suicide prevention program, compensated work therapy program, military sexual trauma program, and evidence based therapy program. Position also includes clinical practice and oversight responsibility for medical residents and allied health trainees. The position reports directly to the Chief of Staff and serves as a key clinical resource for the Director.

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
