Duties

The St. Louis VAHCS has started a new cardiac program and is looking for individuals with that have significant recent experience delivering cardiac anesthesia including placement of advanced central monitoring catheters using ultrasound guidance and use and interpretation of TEE; training/experience in the management of acute syndromes including the performance of nerve blocks under ultrasound guidance; training/experience managing difficult airways utilizing advanced airway management techniques; experience supervising/teaching residents and student nurse anesthetists.

Duties will include Provision of anesthesia care alone and/or with nurse anesthetists, and/or with student nurse anesthetists and anesthesia residents, including the provision of a wide variety of regional anesthetics. 

Administrative duties include participation on hospital committees, academic presentations, and participation in M&M and Performance Improvement activities.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm - Night/Weekend Call
