This position is announced in four disciplines - Nurse Practitioner, Physician, Advanced Social Worker, and Psychologist. 

The Chief Behavioral Health (CBH-MHCL) is a member of the MHCL senior management team.   The CBH-MHCL is stationed at the Murfreesboro campus but is expected to spend at least one day a week at the Nashville campus and travel to CBOCs as required. THE CBH-MHCL reports to senior mental health leadership.  This full-time leader is responsible and accountable for the administration, supervision and overall performance of a full range of mental health programs, staff, and providers to include the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MH RRTP), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Program, and Addiction Treatment Services (ATS).

Duties

MAJOR DUTIES:  

The Chief Behavioral Health (CBH-MHCL) is stationed at the Murfreesboro campus but is expected to spend at least one day a week at the Nashville campus and travel to CBOCs as required. This full-time leader is responsible and accountable for the administration, supervision and overall performance of a full range of mental health programs, staff, and providers to include the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MH RRTP), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Program, and Addiction Treatment Services (ATS). The incumbent participates in decision-making, policy determination and implementation strategies, and collaborates with other executives to ensure policies, practices, and available resources promote optimum patient care outcomes and efficiency.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: budget planning, forecasting, management, coaching and supervision of mental health professional and administrative staff, program development, performance improvement leadership, and labor management activities. This individual executes leadership characterized by substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for programs, crossing service lines and influencing organization mission and health care.  The incumbent will also provide direct patient care of not less than 5% and not more than 15% of their total work time.
