    Responsibilities

    Full time adult Nephrology position at the St. Louis VAMC.  The candidate must be board certified in Nephrology. This individual will supervise internal medicine house staff, student-physicians and nephrology fellows. He will care for inpatients with kidney and electrolyte disorders including in critical care settings. Outpatient duties include general nephrology clinic and management of end stage renal disease patients on dialysis (both HD and PD). The candidate will conduct relevant basic or clinical research with a focus on chronic kidney disease (CKD), risk factors for CKD progression, and cardiovascular complications of kidney disease including mechanisms of vascular calcification.  The candidate will have experience in the analysis of VA clinical databases for his epidemiological studies.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
