    The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System (VASLCHCS) is made up of compassionate employees committed to caring for Veterans whose sacrifices know no limit. Wahlen Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and nine community clinics across Utah, Idaho, and Nevada.     Responsibilities

    The Neurologist Movement Disorder Specialist position is a part-time position in Neurology at the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. Activities will be focused on care of patients with Parkinson's Disease, tremor and other movement disorders. Activities will include, but are not limited to: staffing clinics devoted to diagnosis and treating movement disorders and cognitive neurodegenerative diseases; attending on the Neurology clinical wards; general neurology consultation in the hospital and Emergency Department. The position will require expertise in movement disorders diagnosis and management; performing the programming and monitoring of deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's Disease and tremor; administering botulinum toxin treatment for focal dystonias. The incumbent provides diagnoses and treats neurological conditions, specialty referrals and care coordination between service lines and communication with patients and/or their appropriate surrogates regarding findings and management plans. In addition, he/she will provide service to patients on providers' panels as needed to provide continuity of care when other providers are absent.

    Work Schedule: Part-time, 25 hours/per week, with multiple schedules.
