This position is located at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center, Bay Pines, FL


This is a Bargaining Unit Position/FLSA Exempt



This is an open continuous announcement open until 12/29/2017. Applicants will be referred for consideration every two weeks. The first cutoff is 1/20/2017.


A Recruitment/Relocation Incentive with a 2 year service agreement maybe authorized for a Highly Qualified Candidate.

SUD Psychiatrist:  Primary duties of a qualified candidate will involve caring for Veterans who have substance use disorders(SUD) as well as well as other co-occurring disorders alongside our interdisciplinary team.  The physician will work with Veterans in our outpatient and intensive dual diagnosis program. Duties will include be the provision of evidence based substance use disorder treatment  in collaboration with our team of specialists.  Experience in opioid substitution is desirable.

Emergency Department/Consultation Psychiatrist:  Primary duties of a qualified candidate involve evaluation of Veterans that present with psychiatric symptoms in the Emergency Department.  Experience with crisis management/intervention is desirable.  The physician will work alongside with the ED staff as well as collaborate with psychiatric ARNP's in the Primary Care Mental Health Integration program. 

Work Schedule:  8:00 am to 4:30 pm
