    North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System is seeking one (1) full-time Psychiatrist. The selectee will be assigned to work at the Jacksonville Outpatient Clinic, an outpatient clinic setting with multidisciplinary care specialties.

    Responsibilities

    North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist. The selectee will be assigned to work at this VA Medical Center in the outpatient clinic setting in multidisciplinary care settings. Duties include psychiatric evaluation/assessment, psychiatric medication management, and coordination of the veteran's overall mental health care. Psychiatrist works closely with colleagues to provide comprehensive, outpatient mental health care.
    An essential element is active knowledge of the medical records system. This shall include using the computerized patient record system (CPRS) for progress notes, orders, prescriptions, and medical record review and completion of such records in a complete and timely manner. The selectee will have knowledge of and abide by Medical Center Staff Bylaws, VHA Rules and Regulations and have a familiarization with existing VA specific clinical guidelines.
    In addition to patient care, a psychiatrist may be asked to represent Psychiatry in other areas, such as education and research or be called upon to exercise leadership role in occasional efforts to improve patient care.

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
