Major functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Functioning as part of a psychiatric care team working with other physicians, physician
extenders, nurses and/or other support staff.
This position is to serve as a dedicated Inpatient Psychiatrist for an acute inpatient psychiatric unit.
Privileges will consist of: admissions, diagnosis, work-up, and provision of treatment (to
include consultation for patients who suffer from various mental health disorders).

Physician may be required to see patient(s) one-on-one in a private office setting or in a group
setting. The position may also provide education and training to residents, medical students,
and clinical staff. Academic affiliation with the University of Kansas Medical Center is possible.
Primarily Monday-Friday Day Shift; will be required to participate in on-call rotation.
