    Summary

An exceptional practice opportunity awaits you in the beautiful state of Arkansas. The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System is seeking a psychiatrist for its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics, a setting similar to a small private practice. The work of caring for America's Veterans is both rewarding and professionally challenging. As the psychiatrist, you would lead a team of mental health professionals including a therapist, mental health nurse, and clerical staff. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and, as a CBOC provider, you would have no call. The VA values excellent care provision and sufficient time is allowed for office visits and a wide array of consultative services are readily available. Your work place would be collocated with several primary care providers enabling daily care coordination while the use of the VA's extensive electronic medical record system provides instantaneous access to years' worth of medical data. You should be able to function autonomously while making use of the extraordinary resources of the larger Central Arkansas VA system. The VA has been a leader in the provision of telehealth services, and you should feel comfortable with this form of care delivery as well. Three communities can support a full-time psychiatrist, Mountain Home, Searcy, and Pine Bluff, allowing a choice of practice locations. Each of these communities is surrounded by the lush beauty of the Natural State with opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, or hunting as well as ready access to rich cultural experiences in the nearby metropolitan area or the Ozark Mountains.
