The Beckley VA Health Care System is seeking a Supervisory Psychiatrist to serve as the Physician Director of the Mental Health Service Line. The successful physician candidate will fulfill the mental health needs of a diverse population of Veterans at the Beckley, WV, Healthcare System. He/she will be an integral part of the physician leadership within the medical center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Mental Health Service Line inclusive of programs such as general psychiatry, substance abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) counseling. Additional MH programs include the Homeless Veteran Program, Suicide Prevention, Compensated Work Therapy (CWT), Supportive Employment (SE), Housing and Urban Development-VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program, MH Intensive Case Management (MHICM), Veterans Justice Outreach (VJO), as well as supporting the Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND Program. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief of Staff. He/she will have direct input into subjects pertaining to strategic direction of the Mental Health Service Line.
Work Schedule:Monday - Friday; 8 - 4:30
