This position is currently open to permanent employees of the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center (CBOC's included), permanent employees of the Veteran Canteen Service assigned to this facility, Office of Information & Technology employees assigned to this facility, CPAC bargaining unit employees located at the Cleveland VAMC, and Virtual CBOPC bargaining unit employees under station 741 located at the Cleveland VAMC.


The Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting for a Program Analyst. The Program Analyst will function in Anesthesiology Service. The Program Analyst duties include:

  • Running day-to-day reports for all Anesthesiology programs including: Operating Room, Preoperative Clinic, and Out-of-OR Anesthesia.
  • Receiving, analyzing, and disseminating reports to staff to communicate status of work processes.
  • Operating computerized programs such as: Microsoft Excel, Word and SharePoint; and databases such as VHA Support Service Center (VSSC), VistA, CompuRecord Case Browser, and Decision Support System (DSS).
  • Monitoring reports to bring discrepancies, trends, and outliers to the attention of Anesthesia management.
  • Coordinating the out-of-OR schedule with Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary, and GI.
  • Participating in daily huddles with clinical team to discuss and resolve any concerns related to patient flow and services.
  • Solving daily coordination issues; such as moving cases and/or changing Anesthesia staff assignments to accommodate emergent procedures.
  • Education Coordinator for Anesthesiology Service and primary contact for the following institutions: Case Western Reserve University; the University of Akron, and the Metro Health System.
  • Supporting the daily operations of the Anesthesiology Service where needed.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm
