We are in close proximity to metro Denver, Ft Collins and have seemingly endless outdoor opportunities for hiking, fishing, hunting, and popular ski areas in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah within easy driving distance. The Cheyenne VA Medical Center is a Level 2 facility, providing primary and secondary inpatient services in medicine and surgery as well as outpatient services in medicine, surgery and psychiatry. Three Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) are located in Fort Collins and Greeley, Colorado, as well as in Sidney, Nebraska.

Duties

The certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in this role functions as part of the Mental Health Service Line (MHSL) at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center located in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

·         Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of Major Psychiatric Diagnoses and substance dependence/abuse.

·         Provides psychiatric emergency on-call crisis support and other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or the Director of MHSL.
