The Augusta Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center is a two-division Medical Center that provides tertiary care in medicine, surgery, neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine, and spinal cord injury. The Medical Center is affiliated with the Augusta University, Augusta, GA and as such integrates teaching, research, and advanced patient care, making it an attractive academic medical center. Duties

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm
Location of position:  Downtown Division, Quality Management Service

  - Responsible for the management of accreditation activities for the medical center and CBOCs which encompasses planning, organizing, directing and overseeing accreditation and other external surveys and site visits such as: Joint Commission, CAP, OIG, OMI, etc.
  - Coordinate the medical center's Periodic Performance Review for the Joint Commission, coordinates post-survey requirements such as Evidence of Standards Compliance and Measures of Success, oversees an external review data base and monitors actions related to recommendations from external review bodies including the Joint Commission, CARF, CAP, OIG, OMI, etc.
  - Knowledge of External reviews standards such as Joint Commission, CARF, CAP, OIG, etc.
  - Effective communication skills to communicate information from external review bodies are disseminated to management officials on a timely basis; collaborate with all Quality Management staff to promote quality and facilitate consistency in performance improvement efforts.
